A Few Words From
Neal Kwort, 9 time NAPA/ASE Auto Tech of the Year (CT).

From Neal:
People don't like going to the dentist but I don't mind it at all. My dentist is great. I made him my dental care professional of choice because he makes the experience easier. Dare I say, pleasurable? I'm an auto tech. I've been working in repair shops for thirty years. In that time, I've seen a lot and I've learned a lot. One of the things that I've learned is that people don't like to bring their cars in for service. Rightfully so. When a brake job cost them five to ten times that of the advertised $69.95, people tend to get apprehensive. When I went into business, one of my missions was to make the experience easier for the consumer. Dare I say, pleasurable? Car repairs are costly. Period. I separated myself from the mainstream by promoting my business as the place to go to get it done right and to get a fair shake. I have never engaged in Bait and Switch' advertising. No fine print ever appeared in any of my ads.
Thirty years. That's a long time. All things end. I have decided that it is time for me to retire from the car repair business. When it came to, to whom I would transfer my business, I had choices. I chose people that I felt consumers could trust and feel comfortable with. I reflect back at a long and illustrious career. I am stepping down not because I failed, but because I succeeded. I have obtained all goals set for myself and in doing so, I believe that I made auto repair a wee bit better in my own little community. Just like my dentist. For those of you that made us your auto service professionals of choice, I thank you for your business.
